Due to an imminent new arrival in the holt household, i have to rip out the existing ice to make way for prams etc.

coming out are the following :-

Rockford Fosgate 125.2 amp
Rockford Fosgate 800.4 amp
2 x 10in boxed Rockford Fosgate subs

I've already got some cracking MB Quartz mids and tweets up front and are going to keep these.
My question is i'm going to put some rear speakers in to try and rescue some bass and am interested in what to get.

I'm tempted by the blue coloured alpine 6*9's DDSR69k as they sounded very good and quite bassy, but am interested to see what everyone has to say (i'll probably keep the big rocky amp to power all speakers).

If anyones interested in the 125.2 and the two two 10" boxed subs give me a shout.

The Infinity Reference 6952i and 6953i 6x9's will out bump the Alpines.Actually they sound better across the board. The Kappa's can go down to around 38hz,but are pricey.

You're up early Steve...

I wasn't impressed with high-end Alpine speakers in an audition I had around a year ago.

But that's me.

Nick.

Will these Infinity 6x9" drop straight in or does the shelf need cutting?

I seem to remember the infinity's being cheaper as well......top.

I lestened the alpine dd's in a friends Rover 620 turbo and have to say they were very impressive. Will go have a listen to the infin's first tho as the do seem to get some good press here.

I used to have them years ago as they were crystal clear, but not much OOMPH.
