Question

All,

How do I remove the rears speakers from my MY00, tried the other day and almost snapped the grill off

Surely the aren't removed from the boot ?

Just having a look at gauges section, is rather helpful to be honest.

But there isn't any text on the section I'm interested in http://www.chiark.com/scooby/icetoc....&subsection=11

Remove the side panels next to the window by careful manipulation
Lift parcel shelf out. You may find that the shelf has become stuck on some of the window gloop in which case perseverence and a sharp stanley blade help
You'll find a plate with 5ish inch speakers installed in it. These plates can be removed completely and replaced with some brands of 6x9 speaker
Refit is the reverse of removal
