Im sure this has been posted before, but after much searching i have given in.

what 'fixes' can be done to the interior mirror to stop the bugger moving when there's some bass in the car? One minute im watching the traffic behind me the next the mirror has snaked down and im looking at the handbrake!!!

Any help would be appriciated as it's doing my head in

Cheers

LOL!!!

Welcome to the world of "bass to make you infertile"!!!

The 'only' mod I could do was to block up the mirror ball joints with hot glue (it will also come off at a later date).......

Hope this helps

Dan (UK MY95 5dr - my boot cover 'flaps' with the bass!!!!)

There is no known fix, other than the one described by Dan, though it's a bit desperate

The sidc faq has a suggestion, but it won't stop bass...

Nick.

Cheers for the replys!

Hot glue it is then! Its either that or interior mirror from another car cause it's a nightmare! im running 1 JL 12" and on certain notes the mirror goes crazy!

not had this prob on another car, my previous car (Cav GSI) had 2 12"s in and only minor mirror shakedown

as to things flapping im in the process of making an actuall boot build (mdf city) so theres very little room for rattling in the boot

Cheers

I tightend the mirror up today with the Star bolt thing and now just shakes but doesn't actually move (sweeeeeet )

So im happy for the mo so I can at least see strange flashes of distorted blue light

I like the "blur" effect (though my mirror doesn't suffer from brewers droop ) in fact, I've got so used to it I now think headlights are vertical lines.
