Default forester stereo replacement

Hi.

Ive found the instructions for removing the OEM single CD player from my MY04 forester. There seems to be something to do with faffing with wires to ensure the glas mounted radio antenna still works. Is this the same for a UK forester? or can I just use an ISO connector loom from halfords with the new head unit and it will be OK?

Any advice on this and what to put in on a budgen greatly appriciated. I am thinking about an alpine mp3 CD player but dont want to loose FM reception for my radio.

thanks
