I've got a kenwood 6080R head unit and changer. Yesterday started car and no sound everything else seems to be functioning correctly (on the display). I could understand if the unit did not work or one of the speakers had gone but no sound at all ? Have tried a reset but did not work, any idea's ????

Hi Daz

I'd guess that one of two things has happened:

The ISO lead for speakers has fallen out the back (easy to fix!)

The internal fuse for the amplification stage has blown (warranty repair)

Check the ISO connectors first...

Nick.

Chiark,

Spot on mate The speaker connector had come loose. I didn't think it would take the sound out completely from all the speakers though oh well sorted now
