The general rule with Dynamat (or Brown Bread, Second Skin etc.) is the more the better... In the front, I did around the speaker hole (partly to give a decent seal) and the outer door skin, although not all of it. If money/time were no object, up front you'd Dynamat the inner door metal and the outer skin fully. As well as the cabin floor, roof, trans tunnel...

In the rear, the same rule applies, most just 'mat the parcel shelf (like I did) where as the more dedicated 'mat the entire boot cavern. It's up to you mate There are loads of products for this kind of thing - some cheaper than others.

Most see this as the first and most effective step in any audio upgrade.

As far as speakers go, most on here tend to go for component sets as opposed to a simple coaxial replacement. Infinity are very popular, although I'd do the ICE shop trawl, and see what floats yer boat.

HTH!

I bought some deadening off ebay called Ivanhoe 5 rolls 100cm x 60cm for £45. Did the whole doors, sounds great now! Rears still vibrate a bit but currentlt got plastic spacers - will change to MDF when I get the jigsaw back off a mate!

Wink

Just don't buy ANY speakers without listening to them first. Classic mistake..........someone else rates them, so they MUST be good

Default speakers

buy some infinity kappa component speakers for the front and kappa 6x9s for the rear, run them off a decent 4 channel amp like the JBL 75.4 or rockford punch P3004, id recommend Digital Sound Direct - Car Audio, Navigation & Security delivered direct to your door excellent service and decent prices!
