I have kicker componants in the front run off a small 400w amp and JBL 15cm on parcel shelf run off a 400w amp and a fatboy 12" sub run off a 1000w amp in the boot!
All together a price of £500
Theres a guy in the for sale section selling a load of ICE for £250 go check it out

Thanks for that mate. Not really looking to run amps though, just wanted a nice sound from a decent head unit.
Used to have a nice set up in my Corrado, Kenwood head-unit, Kenwood components in the front and JBL 6x9's on the rear shelf.
Am looking for some kind of decent replacements as don't want to start cutting anything.

6-9s in the back
Hi i have just fitted some 6 9's in my 1996 classic and did not have to cut the shelf, I built some spacers which lifted the speakers of the shelf by about 1inch carpeted the spaces and used the wires already there and good job only problem was fitting the speaker fancy covers, The back 2 screws are a nightmare, hope this helps.

Fitted some Kenwood 6x9's today in my classic. I mounted them underneath the rear shelf but just drilled through from above using the template supplied and put grills up on top of shelf. No problems with screws, job was done in a couple of hours. Sound much improved over the standard speakers.

if you want quality components and wanna pay the earth then i would go for Lanzar opti 6.5 front and rear.
i have these in my classic with which i have won a sound off recently.
for more info on these go to:
osaka autodesign
you will have to make some spacers for them.. and i would reccomend sound proffing your doors and rear shelf also - as the impreza classic is tinny.
