Default MP3 connection

I've got a Kenwood KDC-3031 head unit in the car at present and was wondering if there is any way I can connect my MP3 player to it. (not ipod). I've been looking at a JVC unit in a mates car that has a USB port on the front so i could just plug it in, but i cant stretch to a new head unit at the moment. Any help would be great.

As far as im aware your kenwood head unit does not have any inputs for you to connect your MP3 player, your model is the basic unit, you only start getting inputs on the back panel the higher end you go which means buying a new head unit with appropriate connection.

I would suggest putting your tracks on to a large CD in MP3 form but im pretty sure your head unit wont play that either, sorry

By all means prove me wrong and pull your headunit out, take a look on the back panel and you will beable to work out what you can actually input into it, which i dont think will be a lot

Thanks for the reply Dave. The head unit will play MP3 cd's but was hoping I could link up the mp3 player to save having a glove box full of cd's.

I'll take a look at the back of the HU and see if i can do anything.

cheers

James
