6x9's in a newage
As anyone fitted a set of 6x9's into/onto the rear shelf of a newage? If so how and do you have pictures. Only reason I ask is that I have got a set and wonder if I can make use of them. Thanks steve.

Earlier today found a set of spacers to fit them on the parcel shelf (hopefully) on flebay. About £15 worth a shot will let know what happens with part no if anyone else interested.

If I have already got the item I am not to keen on getting rid. We shall see what happens as it now has a running fault which is my priority. Will keep informed and post pic's hopefully.

I'm in the middle of building my own spacers, I'll get some pics up when they're done, but I've used some MDF and then a bit of filler to contour them onto the parcel shelf. Just need to fill and smooth them before I cover them.
I've got a set of alpine components up front put they just don't seem to have enough punch.

I'd avoid putting 6x9s on the rear shelf unless they are just subwoofers. If they have tweeters they will move the soundstage towards the back of the car as the high frequencies bounce off the rear screen.
You could get more punch from a sub, like an under seat sub like this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/prod...oducts_id=5305

I've already got the 6x9s and I'm just after a bit of volume. I'm no sound purist and I've built the spacers to face the 6x9s forward anyway so they aren't pointing straight up to the rear screen.
