Smile recomend me a head unit

a small list of criteria :-

really after a h/unit with a good radio reciever (but not dab)

idealy with a button, not a volume control **** (seems all the rage at the mo)

not after garish colours and would love it to match the silver interior

budget up to around £200, but have seen so many at around £100 do i really need to go that high?

single cd player, will upgrade speakers in time but not for a wee while yet.

any recomendations?

ta

Sony Gt 200, volume ****, sorry, but available in silver, around £90 off the net, 4x52W, and plays single CD with MP3 and WMA capability. Will also control one, or more CD changer, minidisc changer etc.

Display is white, and quite subdued, sound is excellent.

Comes with hand-held remote, and a steering column remote is available for about £15 off ebay.

Also has a front mounted jack for playing a walkman, MP3 player, minidisc etc through.

thanks for that mate £90 haven't bought a h/unit for about 4 years now and am staggered at what you get for your money now!

red illumination on the keys should go nice with the rest of the dash lights

any more to compare against?

just had a google and the sony 300 looks even better! looks like the front folds down to get the cd in. very flash and only a tenner more.

getting the feeling i'm gonna be spoilt for choice!!

Don't think you can go wrong with most of the major brands (kenwood - alpine - pioneer), in the end it's down to what functions you want and what takes your fancy
