Default 1 Farad.

You'll probably need a 1 Farad capacitor. They're big ****'s!!!

You need to strap it across the +12v/0v (near your amp IIRC), very simple. It'll basically suck out all the electrical noise which is generated when switching 1kW of audio !!

It's been a while since I've been into my audio, but I think you can get one for about 60quid.

Hope this helps.

No worries.

Now that I'm awake, I've remembered the real benefit of a massive cap. It's not a smoothing cap it's there to provide massive instantaneous currents you'll need for your B-lines !! Which should help give them a bit more clarity.

Also, I think they'll be a little more than 60quid, as a lot of them are specifically aimed at car audio these days. See how you get on.
