Default VDo and something else

I have just bought myself a P1 and it has a VDO headunit & multi-changer which is nice and would like to keep in the car

Does anybody know what other manufacturers use the same connectors as VDO for their multi-changers i.e. can you connect a Kenwood Disk changer to a VDO headunit and control it properly ?

The only reason I ask is because there are some I-POD control units floating about that utilize the multichanger control but they don't seem to do one for the VDO's

Help is much appreciated

Tony
