My MY01 WRX has one of those 2-Din crappy stereos that sounds pretty... well pants

Ive been looking at the current deals in the mags - the top of the range kenwood Mask CD Tuner looks a steal at £275 and i saw they do a slave unit (3 MD) that is controlled by the headunit. They talk about fitting both in the same dash. Will the two units fit in my 2-Din slot? Are there any heat or interference issues with doing it this way?

Any one fitted two 1-dins into a 2-Din whole?

And also - whats does anyone think of the KDC - 9080R and the MD changer head unit with graphic eq?

The Kenwood stuff looks cheap as it is being replaced (x080 becoming x090). Still good units though!
