Default Sounds STI 03 - Newbie question

Hi people,

I have a standard stereo setup at the moment in my Subaru STI 03 and wanted to sort it out as its pants as standard.

I know these questions may have already been covered but i have read some other posts and still have a few. So i thought i would ask and see what kind people reply

Another newbie list of questions:

1) Are there any recognised shops in the southeast that people would recommend visiting where i can hear car stereo's, amps, subs etc?

2) What sort of setup would give me decent sounds without impacting my boot space? I am looking for a decent base line.

3) I have no idea about doing an install myself so should i avoid it or is it quite simply? Are there any sites that show images or guides on how to do this?

Thanks people,

Merry XMas

I would recommend the guys at Orpington Car Stereo if that's in your neck of the South East... knowledgable and are actually concerned about how its going to sound, rather than just seeling u the most expensive kit !!

They were going to install at £350 bazuka tube to save space but ended up installing a pre-made box package that cost half as much, and it sounds great.

Chiark site great also.
