Default Fitting a head unit

Morning all!

I was hoping you'd be able to help a newb to the scooby scene. I dont actually own a scooby, but i know someone who does. He has just bought an Impreza Wagon STi WRX. It's a jap import and a daaamn fine car if i do say so myself. Kinda make's me want to swap my 106.

Anywho, this impreza doesn't have a head unit, so this weekend, i shall be braving the cold and giving it my best shot at fitting the head unit. I've done it before, so i've got half an idea of what im doing. But what's worrying me is that because the car's a jap import, will the wiring be different? Will i be able to purchase an ISO block which will fit onto the new head unit?

Thanks for the help

The wiring is the same worldwide, normally. Maybe you need a Mini-Iso to Euro-Iso connector, thats all.

I don't know if it applies to all Jap Imprezas but they tend to have double DIN stereos and centre consoles too. Can be useful but not if you're looking to install a standard UK/euro sized stereo.

Also, get the autoleads loom adapter.

You don't say what year/version STi he's got.

Good luck....

J.
