Default iPod Adapter

Anyone using a proper iPod adapter i.e. control from HU?

What is the functionality like, I am wondering how easy it is to scroll through 5000 tracks with such a small display.

I am currently looking to get a new HU and I quite like the new Pioneer DEH-P70BT bluetooth unit but if the iPod searching is difficult then I may go all out and go for Pioneer AVIC-X1R.

Cheers for advise.

I went down the Alpine route - with the Ipod apadptor -to be totally honest its a little bit fiddly BUT if you create Playlists in your ipod it makes life a lot easier

The sound is superb and well worth installing
