Speakers
Having come to the conclusion after 5 days of ownership, that the speakers in my STi uk, are completely useless. My question is. Has anyone changed the standard speakers in their car ? What did you change them for and how much ? I've never owned a car with such rubbish speakers before. Anything remotely loud and they just distort. Proper rubbish.

hi mate, be careful what speakers you buy, especially for the front. i recently
(yesterday) purchased a pair of quality 6 1\2" speakers but when i tried fitting
them had all sorts of problems. firstly i had to make new pods as the design of the speaker would not allow them to fit into the old plastic pods. secondly, once fitted, found that the window jammed when winding them fully down (electrically). so, needless to say they are now fitted in the rear. i have a 93 wrx with a dvd and screen up front, and a sub in the boot. sounds excellant
