I had this, the ribon connector had cracked, eventually it broke totally (after a couple of months). I found a place in croydon who repaired it, returned it and guaranteed it for 3 months all for £25, I think it was called Blue Ice Electronics.

Quite good about letting me know the status of the job (they didn't have the ribbon in stock, but let me know).

If you need their details mail me, I'll see if I can dig them out.

They're the people I used , although they did the repair. Doesn't look like they do it now.

I had the same problem on my MASK unit, I sent it to Maple Audio in Bath (01225 442180)
They also didn't have the ribbon in stock, but turned the whole job around for me in a week - can't remember the cost but I remember thinking that it was reasonable.

Lightbulb

ordered the ribbon on ebay £11 inc delivery,
Opened the stereo unit last night and the ribbon has to flex every time the mask opens/closes, this is where it has split and defo needs replacing.
Well worth avin a go yourself.
