Question Anybody got an Alpine CDE-9828RB Headunit??

Basically trying to find out if it has an AUX input to hook up my MP3 player.

The Alpine website and catalouge neither say if it has or hasn't, one car audio shop I've contacted says it hasn't, another one says it has so I could do with some help from anyone who has this unit as I'm planning to buy over the net.

Thanks in advance

Steve

But it plays MP3s itself?
Anyway, all Alpines with BassEngine NEED a AUX. Thats because if you want to set it up (with i.e. a Neutrik) you have to giva a signal in.

Question

Ale555,

I'm aware that this unit plays MP3's, just trying to get a handle on where there is an AUX input also, don't know much about Bass Engine stuff but I assume from what you say that this means there is an AUX input that I could hook a phono lead up to??

Thanks

Steve

So, called my ICE Dealer to be sure. The AUX in this HU works over the CD-Changer function. Therefore you need a adapter from CD-Changer to Chinch. This would work.

Thats the point. If you put that AUX into "on" you can´t use a changer because the changer cable works as AUX. In "off" it works as normal Changer Cable...
