not really you will just get more sound of out the speakers. the sound quality may be enhanced but only marginally. so the best thing to do would be to get some better speakers then the amp rather then vice versa. hope this helps

it will actually produce a better sound without upgrading the speakers, due to all the circuitary is better made than the little on board amp(imagine being squashed into the size of a tennis ball and see how you perform) that's in the headunit, unless you are already running a top end alpine or the like (nakamichi etc), the sound through the speakers is only as good as the source. the likelyhood of you blowing the std items increaces dramatically though, but that's a good way of convincing the mrs that you actually have to have those infinity components there and then!

Although we don't want a sub box we would eventually like to replace the std speakers and tweeters. The head unit we replaced the std unit with (Pioneer DEH-P77MP besy head unit we've ever had, just brilliant) has improved the aural quality a good amount. We'd just like to improve the depth and colour a little more. Could you suggest an amp possibly? It obviously doesn't have to be that big I guess, infact the smaller the better for our needs.
