Hi guys,

I'm think of fitting the following to my impreza:

Front door panels - Infinity 6000cs component speakers (Mid and tweeter)

Rear door panels - Infinity 6000cs component speakers (Mid and tweeter)

Either 1 x12" Sub or 2 8" or 10" subs in the boot.

All powered by amps.

What do you think this would sound like?
Would I get a good clear range from this set-up.

Do you think I need something different in the rear?

Your comments would be much appreciated.

Fronts are great, rears you dont need to go as far.
A set of coaxs will do there.
Other wise the sound will be too bright.
As for subs, it depends how much power you will be using.
A 12" with 400rms upwards will sound good.

It would sound on the bright side of neutral.

Don't bother amping the rears at all, spend your money on the fronts and sub.

I could go for the following as rears:

Infinity 9603i - 6x9's

Infinity 693.5i - 6x9's

Infinity 6502i - (17cm round)

Infinity Kappa 62.5i (16cm round)


The reason I'm going for Infinity's is that I like the look of them plus it would appear that they have good reviews on this BBS.

My aim is to have a good sounding professional install.

Would i get it from this lot.

Take the advice and don't waste your money on the rear speakers, spend your money on the fronts & sub and you will have a great sounding system, if you use the rear speakers it will just sod up your soundstage .
