Default Alpine Setup Simple But Will It Work

REET

ive got a 60 watt alpine head unit 2004 model ?

4 x 150 watt alpine speakers 5 quarter inch front and rear

today im gonna but an alpine 2 channel amp and an alpine 10 inch sub ?

http://www.motor-world.co.uk/kroozin...p?prod_id=5362

sounds simple

what i want to do or is it recomended to do it run the speakers off my 60 watt head unit , and power the sub off the amp , as the head unit can take the bass off the speakers alll together and it has a function for dedicating the bass to the sub ...............

i do want bass and do want fairly loud but not frightenin someones grand half to death , i want more bhp than db , im after the sound in my car not out of it , thats why i went alpine

is this all as simple as i am saying it ? nothing in this subaru so far has been simple just hopefully hoping my alpine setup will be ,

you will get a little bass out of that, but not major, it will obviously sound better than it does now, but shop around for a good deal, and remember, it may be worth getting a pro to fit it and set it up, as that makes a BIG difference. I take it you are in bolton, lancs? I'm near the trafford ctr and have been installing ice on a proffesional level for 8 years, any q's, just ask, oh and I can fit it if you want me to

i want bass, not 2 much im in to the more suttle bass , less bass for example than you see the guy in the citroen saxo with his windows down pumpin out 3 12 inch subs and havin more db than bhp

im 2 fussy when it comes to sound , and bass over powering , as i make music myself (CHEESEY HOUSE ****E) and i like it soundin perfect not the kind of sound so everyone else thinks oh look at him in a scooby tunes on Full , Shammmone , *** Ed
you get my drift though mate how i mean ,,,,,, was actually thinkin of goin 4 channel amp and bit more wattage

wen i get all my gear ill send u a message mate

ive got some 6x9`s alpine 250 watts was thinkin of bangin them in for the moment till i got some good coinage for a good alpine amp and sub ,

would u say puttin some mdt under my shelf the steel bit ,and puttin the speakers onto the mdf so i dont have 2 cut away at the metal and my speaker`s are stealth

if anyone else has done this can they post a picture please so i can how they have done it and try to copy it ,

dont worry, I know what you mean, made plenty of them myself, but have found that on subaru's, the best way is on top, mainly because of you loosing sound because of the contour (sp?) of the shelf, I work in bolton, maybe meet up and show you my install?

Sounds like youve got a nice setup, ive just got myself a similar alpine HU and want to go down the same route as you. Can you gimme some model no;s for the door speakers?

Im also thinking:

60w HU powering front tweeters/front door composites/rear door composites
AMP powering parcel shelf speakers and sub

Does that sound ok? This is going to be my first decent ice install so i;d like to get it right, i want pretty much the same as SwishOvBolton, decent noise but not you average 'gary' install.
