Default advICE needed

Just got a WRX O2, the radio that came installed is crap, its the normal Subaru fit. Ive noticed that its not a standard size either, its appears to be twice as big (in height) as all the car radios that i have ever had.

It is possible to purchase a normal CD/Tuner and get a blank panel for the gap that would be left in the dash ?....or even some some nice turbo/oil pressure/temp guages etc.....

please advise

Double din = double size is pretty common in Japan

Unfortuantely Subaru decided to go with the cheapest, tackiest, most useless system they could find

Yes you can fit a single Din unit and get a blanking pocket - they are about £20 from the Subaru main dealer - and I have a nice Knoclink and Lamda Link in mine - they take about 5 seconds to fit!!

I'd recommend most single din Alpine units as a replacement............
