I have a Kenwood CD head unit that my mate took out of his girlfriend's Fiat Panda before it went to the scrapper (I know it's strange, but it was in the car when she bought it). It seems to be a reasonably modern mid priced unit and we would like to fit it into another friend's car only when he took it out he cut through all the cables without noting which one connected to what.
How can I get a digram that indicates what all the different cable colours mean (i.e. which is power, which are the speakers etc.)
Any help would be appreciated,
Regards,

What model is it? I have colour codes for 5080R - can post them if helpful. Does it have a 16 (I think - manual not to hand) connector on the rear into which the wires go - you might then be able to get a replacement ISO connector cable.

Thanks for the replies so far.
The unit is a 5040L and does indeed have a 16 pin connector on the back. Would Halfords have a replacement for this or would it have to be a Kenwood specialist?
I am unsure about the car end so far, but I will have a look when I see the car (a Mazda)
