have a vdo system that when left for 2 or so hours will not power up straight away? will come on after approx 30-40mins of driving. the cd changer & sat nav disc unit have power lights on but the head unit is dead. All works fine once powered up.

any ideas, the head unit is a face off type but removing / refitting this does not help.
