I've installed a Sony Head unit in my 98MY Scooby, but I can not remove it. I am sure that somethnig behind is causing it to be stuck. There is no real way of gaining access from behind to determine the problem.

Is it possible to remove the central console including the heating controls to gain access? Or is it easier to remove the side panel?

Which is easiest and how do I do it?

If you remove the glovebox (5 screws around the glovebox if I remember) and a plastic screw round the left - open the door) you can see behind the radio - a bit! This is an easier first option.
