Bought a 10 inch Vibe sub, I have a philips amp which ius a little under powered. Could this dmage the sub at all ? i.e ohms. ????

Ideally speakers and amps should be matched, and yes, and unpower amp could damage a sub, you need to look at the ratings.

Which phillips??? cos if its a old DAP 900 etc they are bloody great amps and will run better than quoted.

Small amps can damage subs more effectively than a large amp in most cases... You want to avoid sending a clipped signal into it, as this heats up the voicecoil a shedload and will cause it to burn out.

Just listen to it. If it sounds pony, turn it down

Luke yeah it is a PAD 900 series. got it free from a friend. it will be running a 10 inch vibe do u think it will be good enuf ??.

Well you have a good mate... Its a very very good amp. Infact a bit of a classic. I believe made by Alpine???? Wouldnt want to run it 2ohm etc but as long as its wired well it should be a great amp. Make sure you se the gains right...NOT TOO HIGH..like some muppets do "Cos its sound wicked init|"
