I posted a recent post on here that got no replies regarding having no wiring harness for my Sony Mini disc head unit. I have seen ones on the net and 1 on Ebay that is basically a lead that plugs into the back of the Sony head unit and then has an ISO connector on the other end. Will the plug on the piece of crap standard stereo that is my MY98 Wagon fit onto this ISO connection. Basically what I am asking is the stereo connector a standard ISO connection on the UK MY98 or do I have to buy another one of these overpriced lead to convert the stereo connector on the scoob to ISO, or just cut the wires?

Get a wiring adaptor rather than carving up the loom. £8.00 from www.incarexpress.co.uk.

John.

you're talking about the bit the goes from pins on the back of the sony head unit to iso, rather than iso to subaru loom?

If you want the sony loom, speak to sony

Wink

Yeah I am after the Sony loom, and the ISO to Subaru plug loom. I was just wondering if the Subaru just had a standard ISO plug as I am sure I read on here on some search I did that it has. Obviously it hasn't so I will have to buy the ISO to Subaru adaptor and the Sony to ISO loom. Thanks for the help anyway guys

No, the scoob doesn't, but the adaptors are cheap (a tenner) and common (halfords etc).

The sony one will be harder to find

Cool

Yes it is seen one on Ebay though at a decent price, just waiting for the seller to confirm that it is a 16 pin plug that connects into the back of the head unit. It should be but I think there are also different ones. Thanks anyway
