Question

My car is a 95wrx ra. I would like to no if there is a universal connector that plugs into the orignal radio/cas loom, saves me from cutting the original wires to fit new radio/cas/disc. From what i can see there are two black connectors, i think one is for the speakers & the other for power supply? The car never came with radio/cas. Or does anyone no the which wire does what? red = live, black - negative etc. I suppose i could get a tester but would be easier if someone else has already done it. Thanks

Are your two black connectors rectangular each with two rows of pins?

If so, you're looking at an ISO connector and you can't get more standard! Virtually any head unit will plug straight in.

If it's like this:

then that's the proprietary Subaru connector which you can convert to ISO using a Connects2 CT20SU01 (have in stock) or an AutoLeads PC2-44-4 from Hellfords, etc.

Thumbs up

I think its like the first one but will have to double check. Ive got two head units alpine & a sony double unit cassette at bottom disc on top alline one unit. Going to use sony for now but sure the connector from that dont fit directly to the car original connectors, but info you provided was great. Just need to check them connectors. Thanks
