Standard Philips Autochanger and new head ??

Can anyone help ??
I'm thinking about getting a better tuner/cassette, it has the good old standard philips head unit and 6 disc changer. Can I fit any head unit and plug the autochanger straight in ?? if not what other units are compatable with the philips changer ??
