I have bought one of these packages pictured below but without the remote and i need it to store the radio presets!

Anyone?

No mate thats the steering column control, its the hand held remote i need pictured above!

Possibly a little late on my part but I always understood that the controllers were digitally encoded to the specific head unit, the same as the removable facia? Pretty sure this is the case with my CDX-CA700. Remote is useless anyway, always use steering wheel control, you can do presets without the controller though can't you? I only say it because XRS changed some of mine while trying to turn the CD player on. lol

 

no mate, i have borrowed one to tune in my manchester radio presets but im always up and down the country and need a remote to save other presets, so any remote will work, i have the steering column remote aswell, but i cant store the presets with it.

If your not using you remote and its lying about then id gladly take it off your hands

As said the remotes are universal... no encoding. The easiest place to get them from is Sony spares, next day delivery normally. I can't remember the number tho. Give the Sony Centre in the Trafford Centre a ring (used to work there while finishing university), 0161 747 2108 and they will have the number.
