Could someone tell me, on an import wrx sti MY95 do you need the optional harness adaptor lead Part no PC2-44-4 to connect to an Alpine CDA-7894RB? Also what do people think of the mentioned alpine?

I have just fitted a CDA-7893R and you can read my review here

I fitted this to a MY02 STI Type UK and I did need the adaptor lead.
