Im after a set of components to replace the front standard speakers in my e36 m3 evo. I think they are 5.25"...howvere Im a bit lost as to which ones I should get. Im looking to spend £100 max......and Im after a decent make eg infinity etc

Can anyone make any suggestions. They will be amplified, and whilst Im at it, can anyone recommend a cheapish amp which will be good at amplifying them.

For £100, Infinity is probably the best bet, but try and listen to some first as some people find them too bright. If you wanted to up your budget a bit to £150 (say) you could go for Focal or Genesis. I'm a bit biased there though

As for size, the stock speakers are indeed 5¼", but you can squeeze in 6½" if you're keen. I've even seen pics of some 7" Dynaudios in an E36, but that means cutting a fair bit of metal and then making up new grilles. The Dynaudios are also a bit more than £100......

Cheers for that Shifty......which model infinity would you recommend.....anyone happen to have any for sale perhaps ( try my luck!)......any other brands to look out 4?
