Having bought 2nd hand amps I have no wiring instructions and I am wondering which wire the remote goes to @ the front end ??
Is there a site out there that has a wiring diadram for basic set ups ?
Sorry, but I am a complete newbie to ICE

cheers folks,
I take it I will look for a blue wire off the back of a Sony h/u too?
It aint used atm so I presume that will be the one to aim for
all cables run MD headunit in, MD changer in, Sub and amps in place...almost there
..Oh one more thing, Is it OK to loop feed the amps or do I need 2 runs from the battery?

You need to fuse the main run from the battery within 18" of the battery - actually in the engine bay. This is not optional, it must be done to prevent fire. 4AWG is the norm for this and will meet most needs providing your amps aren't huge.
After that, run to a fused distribution block. Maplins sell 'em cheap, as do most ICE places. They take 1 4AWG in, and have 4 8AWG outputs, individually fused.
Don't forget that the earth wiring carries the same current, and so must be the same size. Ground to a good point on the chassis somewhere by sanding some of the paint away.
Hope this isn't too patronising and that it helps!
