(I know next to nothing about stereo's/speakers/amps)

I own a sony headunit (4x50) with vibe audio sa69 6x9's. The sound distorts so I'm after an amp, can anyone recommend a good one at a good price? The speakers are 300watt btw.
Cheers

Buy mine! its the PHoenix gold on www.geocities.com/sisice4sale

Seriously, f you're serious about quality and volume, then forget the internal amp. the most it'll manage is around 20 wrms at absolute best, and that'll sound pants.

It depends what you're after, fronts, rears and sub?? if its just the 6x9 then a cheap 2 channel job from kenwood, alpine, etc etc secondhand would do the job nicely. what rms rating are your speakers?

Thanks mate, so let me get this right if I get a 2 channel amp I need it to run 75rms per channel to power my 150rms speakers? Is that right or am I confused?

A good 50 watts + amp (Genesis, early R/F and sounstream etc|) will drive them. More power will add more control But will also lead to distortion if you cane them
