Question

Hello all.
I have a complete Scoobysport system, backbox, centrepipe and downpipe. This can and does create a monster sound. My question is, will i be wasting money on a decent upgrade to speakers and head units if my car makes such a racket to start with?
Anyone have any experience with this?

The Impreza is not exactly the most quality built and insulated car, so the exhaust system dont help...
Any ideas?
Cem

BD,

I've got a ScoobySport backbox and downpipe. The noise is incredible, and it seems a shame to drown it out!!!

That said, I've got the following to do the the job:

Kenwood stealth MD head unit & CD changer
2 * 4-channel Alpine amps
6.5" component Kenwood Dual Mag speakers (fronts)
6.5" Pioneer speakers (rears)
1.5 Farad cap
2 * 10" Alpine subwoofers
Dynamat'd front doors and boot

It seems to work! Although there are times that the stereo needs to go off, and enjoy the ScoobySport chorus!!!

Andy

PS - Although I think that Saj, Lee and Adam have all done better jobs of their stereos than I have!!!

I've got the infamous loud-n-proud Blitz system on my MY99, and can easily drown it out..have to stop when blood trickles from my ears though..
