Does anybody know any direct fit speakers for the front and rear for the 99 Impreza? Currently the door panels are removed, but I don't seam to find any speakers with the correct size.

I measured 14.5mm from screw to screw for the front speakers. What have you guys dropped in the front and rear?

Thanks for helping!

At the rear I found that Pioneer TS-E1690 fit perfectely. You don't even need to drill new holes as all 3 screws work!

Hi, The pioneer are ok but how about some audiophile speakers. I know from painful experience that the mbquart qm180.03cx component speakers don't fit so any other suggestions ???

if you order these
Kartboy Products

you will be able to install most standard 6.5" component speakers or standard speakers.
you will want to check the mounting depth.

I installed An Alpine Type-S component set and the magnet on the speaker was nearly touching the windown in the full down position.

Infinity 6010CS component speakers went straight into my MY1998, even managed to fit them to the stock plastic housing which incorporates a weather shroud on the rear. No modifications, spacers / MDF or anything needed, no interference with windows / doors cards either. I've got some photos at work if you want them.

If you have the standard speakers you can reuse the splash guard covers (black plastic things) on the back to mount other speakers.
Thats what I did to fit my Infinitys...

Damn, wish I read all of the posts first!
