have a kenwood/subaru double din...standard fitting to a 95 wrx wagon....does anyone know if there's any way to replace a component inside to make the FM band into UK frequency range?....I've always found the £10 on-aerial-wire expanders to be useless.

No, 'fraid not as far as i'm aware. I remember when my dad got his mx5 we got the dealer to replace the double din hu with an a lpine cd and a single din storage space for this exact reason.
