This may be the stupid question of the week ... having looked at picture of above head unit on Alpine and MCS site where does the CD go in? Does the entire front panel slide down/away or something and thus exposing the CD slot?

The front does open to expose the CD slot.

Kind of moves forward and then swivels down so that the CD slot is revealed
