can anyone suggest a head unit that will give me DAB and also work with the standard CD multichanger?

Dont really want to spend on the new system but do want to get DAB in the car.

guess I am stuck with Philips which does not fill me with job but if there is another option!

 

why get a DAB then keep the rest of the factory ice? thw whole idea of DAB is that the sound is less compressed so that the dynamic range can be greater giving better soung quality. if you are going to spend money on a good radio you may as well do the rest of the system or not bother. any system will only be as good as the weakest part - look at kenwoods range IMHO

I'd have to agree with some of that.

The weakest part of any audio system is the speakers and Subarus factory bins are rather poor.

 

I'd forget integrating with the existing standard setup and look at buying a hu with dab (pioneer are a good start as far as cost goes for DAB), but you would defeat the object as the boys mention if you don't upgrade speakers to justify the quality offered by dab.

 

its not so much the sound quality that I am that bothered about its just getting Radio 6 and other Digial only.

point taken though about the rest of the kit I have to admit.

Ive not bothered so far as I am usually happiest with the window open!
