Hi guys, been a while since I was on here. Sold my Hawkeye Sti nearly 2 years ago, sad times indeed.

We have been after a family/bog/beach car for a while now and after looking at all the alternatives, we settled on a 2006 Forester XT in silver (one of the last registered older shap ones). Its tidy and drives lovely. Should be picking it up at the end of the week.

I would like to change the standard stereo for an Alpine double din with BT, but would also like to keep the steering wheel controls. I know its probably possible, but cant find the bit im after. The 'Connects' parts all state 2007-2010 models, so I'm unsure as to whether this will fit.

Is there a part out there?

Also, its one of the sat nav models. I really hate sat nav and would happily swap this out for the glovebox thing. Is this possible?

Sorry for the late reply, I've been watching the Tour in France. Thanks for the link, that's exactly what I need and strangely, they are about 2 miles away. Will pop down tomorrow.
