This is really doing my head in! Is there a simple logical way or am I being a tool?

I have removed the plates from the double din to use on the single but I cant figure out where it should sit and what screws to fix it as the gold stubbies dont fit my pioneer deh 80prs?

Also the cubby hold underneath how does this attach, with screws? If so which?

Is there a fitting guide somewhere?
