I would like to upgrade the head unit in my 2010 wrx-s but I am completely baffled by all the options available!
I'm a bit of an old fart so all this new wireless smartphone mirrorlink ibollox technology is a bit confusing for me, so am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I would like the following features:
Touchscreen - nice and smooth like a good quality tablet or iphone
Bluetooth - so I can link my phone to make/receive calls
Music - CD/MP3/stream podcasts from phone
Video - DVD/other formats that I don't understand
Sat Nav - but would have to be mainstream (eg Tom Tom or Garmin) and include map updates and preferably live traffic (and speed camera updates)
USB - so I can plug in additional music/video
Appearance - blend into dash nicely not look "too obvious"
Simple to use!!!
Presumably I will also need to buy additional items such as a mounting bracket, fascia plate, wiring adapter, steering wheel control interface etc. Any guidance on this would be much appreciated.
Did I mention it also has to be cheap???
I have an iphone 4S so it would need to be compatible with that, I am aware that some of this new stuff is only compatible with newer iphones and android thingamies.
Hoping you can help out a confused old dinosaur!!

Budget was originally £300 but I soon realised that this was not realistic for a unit with sat nav!
I saw this at Halfords, with 20% off the add-on nav unit it comes out at £409 - would this be a good buy?

I can't comment on the screen quality as I've never dealt with one, but sony are usually there or there abouts imho.
You will find units cheaper than that but may not have the satnav you want built in with all the singing and dancing extras.
