Hi,

Unfortunately we don't have a confirmed date from our supplier as to when the NewAge FMICs will be coming back into stock. Sorry for the inconvenience.

What air filter would you use for a 97-01 car? I assume you can't use the stock intake can you?

hi, this is tempting. got a '97 typr r (with a 98 sti engine) with a simtek and decat exhaust, what are the pros and cons of not getting a remap if changing from a standard top mount to a front mount?
thanks

Hi Daniel,

Changing from the standard top mount to our FMIC you will see gains without a remap. However these gains will be emphasised if you were to remap the car as well. Unfortunately I don't have exact figures on the level of gain you will see as it will depend largely on the other modifications to the car

thanks - so there shouldn't be any problems mounting this without a remap, just lower gains...

Hi

The Classic kits, both 93-96 and 97-01 are still going ahead as a group buy but the new age kits are going to be on an individual basis

So there's definately no relocation work that needs to be done to fit this and the normal air filter can be used on a 98 STI?

From the information we have you should have no issues fitting this to a 1998 vehicle. However I will see if we can find some photos of this kit fitted in order to confirm the relocation questions.

Added If you have no experience in fitting a major aftermarket modification like this then I would recommend having it professionally fitted

Added as soon as we get the ten names down we can take payments. As soon as payment is received we can usually dispatch the same day for next working day delivery!
