Just been on the phone to Ian, he said that he can do a twin scroll newage downpipe for £200 plus vat providing there are three of us interested. However we need to measure from the front flange to the start of the centre pipe to provide him with the measruements as he said he just looked at an 03 car and it required a classic downpipe. It might be best ringing him so he can explain incase I have confused you. In any case I will be ordering one.

Hi

When the GB has come to a end ( we said end of the month if that is OK with everyone ) you can ring with details and can go from there .

WHats the difference in performance gains and noise between the :

H&S ( original Scoobysport design ) back box £165 in 3" £195
Jap angled back box £165 in 3" £185

for newage. Mine is already running 414/398 but with a 2.5" prodrive centre pipe and backbox which Bob rawl commented on, and said i need to get these changed to 3" to help things along.

I dont want something too loud though as i use it as an everyday driver too and hate been drowned out by the constant drone. A nice bit on noise when your foor is planted though doesnt go a-miss

We had a 3" Jap style system in the other day and made a one off centre pipe silencer and believe it or not but it bought the noise down 20DB without up setting the flow. Very tight fit and wouldn't like to fit without building it on the car

Could I just clarify that on the Bugeye there are four parts to the exhaust system;

Down pipe, cat-pipe, centre, back box?

I ask as I have an H&S back box and a Prodrive down pipe / sports-cat waiting to be fitted. I want to complete the system to match the H&S back box so I'm positive I just need to order the centre and cat-pipes?

Yes that is correct 4 parts and you would need the 2 parts you mention to complete the system

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the response, how much would you be looking at to build and fit on the car then? I assume it still produced a nice note on song.....

Thanks.
