Default Mocal 25Row Oil coolers

All,

I was looking at buying a Mocal oil cooler as I now have a front mount and oil temps have gone up a touch.

I spoke to Merlin Motorsport and they said they would give us a 20% discount on the 25Row oil coolers if we get 10 people together:

25 ROW OIL COOLER

That's £90 for the cooler

+ Delivery from my house (a few quid) as I would have to order all 10 units in one hit.

You would then phone them for the hoses which would be custom made as I know people want different lengths and different connectors so prices will vary but they are quoting £14 per meter for braided hoses plus a few quid a pop for connectors.

Anyone interested?

I think a 25 row is a bit too large. On my gc8 I used to have a 16 row and on track oil temperatures did not exceed 100 degrees celsius. Daily use gave me approx 80-85 degrees with 20+ degrees outside temperature. Winter = 70 - 75.

Oil should reach 100 degrees on normal use. At that temperature it starts to clean itself.

Just something to think about.
I'm going with a 10 row in the future for the daily. Daily is also used on track every now and then.

Edit: my experience is with the wider version. With this 115mm you can probably compare it with the 16 row wide version.

yeah sorry should have mentioned that this is for the short version as I'm not sure everyone has a FMIC so they would probably want to put them where a fog light used to live or where a front mount would go.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know as we will get 20% off of whatever size we buy, we just need to buy ten of the same

Thanks for the info PU.; appreciated

are they thermostatic? its not a huge saving but you do need larger then 19row for it to be better then the subaru modine..

it would be better as a sort of kit really ie cooler and fitting, then you can but the lines seperate to suit your needs, fit where you like etc.
