Default Anyone fancy doing a group buy on oil coolers

Hi, just wandering if anyone would be interested in a group buy on an oil cooler relocation kit? Just asking as i'm on the lookout for a kit and if anyone knows anyone I could approach to start up a group buy to save everyone some pennies that would be cool

Cheers
Chris

Think it is worthwhile especially if it's tuned up and getting a hammering around track etc, i'll be moving mine up to where the intercooler used to be, noticed that temps in the few hot weeks we had were going up to around 90 and above slightly according to my gauges and that was just on the road
BOB'5, that would be good if you could get a price, was going to get numbers first then start looking for deals.

Cheers

Not sure I'll be able to sort it out and get them delivered in under 3
weeks.
I'm going to look at kits with thermostats due to
advice I've been given. Got about ten people so far interested so
will try my luck with a few companies

HEL Performance 19 Row Oil Cooler Kit (Subaru Impreza Turbo GDA GDB 01-09) - Evilmotorsport

Not a bad price, but would 21cm x 19 rows be too much?

As one tuner said to me, group buys on oil coolers are difficult as everyone has different set ups with different parts in the engine bay.

Does everyone have a guess at the oil pipe lengths required for their own car and hope for the best? Where's the best place to fit the filter relocation kit and the cooler itself?

Anyone got any ideas?

I know what you mean Anders.

Easiet way is to offer kits for Classic, Bugeye/Newage etc.

Ive measured my pipe lengths and im not bothered about filter relocation, if i didnt want to spend on an oil cooler then it would be an idea to relocate the filter housing but i dont really see how oil flowing through the filter is going to have its temps raised enough to warrant relocation.
My pipe lengths are going to be approx 1.5-2m, im going to remove the modine, run the pipes back to the subframe and along the subframe to the nearside brake duct where i will run them forward to the front, obviously this is to route them away from the downpipe.

Hmmm will have to measure mine, I'm going to put the oilcooler where the TMIC was, that should get it plenty of air

We can do a deal on these if theyre of interest but we cant currently offer them with a thermostatic option:

Remote filter head aeroquip style oil cooler kits

If you want Mocal with thermostatic sandwich plate then we can do a varient of these:

Mocal stainless braided thermostatic oil cooler kit

We have been selling both of these kits for years, they do the job theyre supposed to do.

Do you know if filter relocation is required for a newage fitted with GT Spec II headers?

Been looking where the cooler can be fitted. Behind the front grill looks the obvious place, but the horns are in the way:

Took a spanner to the horns and moved them:

This sheet of paper is drawn to scale for a Mocal 115mm x 16 row oil cooler (the outside dimensions, not the matrix size). Should be enough room.
