Thumbs up **BOB RAWLE MAPING GB**

Right then guys and girls

i have been speaking with Bob and he is up for running a group buy. below is a list of options and prices. it covers simtec, remap of original simtec or mapping the OEM ecu (EcuTek), apexi, gems, links, motec and Autronic (think thats is all of them).

if a Simtec is required he will fit and map the ecu as well as fit the switches but will wire the temp sensor in but the for the sensor as this needs to be fitted into the pipework of the intercooler via a boss (which needs to be of size (M10 X 1.25) it will not interfear with the mapping and can be done by a garage or yourself afterwards.

cars are able to be mapped at his normal premises but if others are too far away i am sure if there are 2/3 of you in the same area it can be arranged for him to come to you.

if you have any questions please ask me and i will deal with bob and give you an answer as soon as he has got back to me.

Costs ...

SIMTEC supplied, fitted, mapped
MY94-96 £750 plus vat
MY97-98 £750 plus vat
MY99-00 £850 plus vat
My01-05 (06 JDM) £1000 plus vat

SIMTEC + ALC + LC supplied fitted, mapped

MY94-96 £900 plus vat
MY97-98 £900 plus vat
MY99-00 £1000 plus vat
My01-05 (06 JDM) £1150 plus vat

Charge air temp sensor and required switches supplied FOC

REMAP OF EXISTING ECU

£280 plus vat fixed cost, note, if the ecu is originally from another Simtek dealer then I have to request Simtek to provide the means to access it which would entail the car owner giving his permission.

Hardware lead time is about 8 working days, as is the software patch request process.

If anyone else is interested in a group buy deal on oem ecu mapping or remapping other ecu’s

Remap oem ecu (EcuTek) at £430 plus vat assuming no previous licence
Remap previously mapped oem ecu with a licence at £280 plus vat
Apexi remapping of existing ecu at £250 plus vat
Autronic remapping of existing ecu at £250 plus vat
Gems remap of existing ecu at £250 plus vat
Link remap of existing ecu at £250 plus vat
Motec mapping poa

I will start it off so add your name to the list, with ecu required, user name and year and model of car.

1)stevie1982 (SIMTEC + ALC + LC supplied fitted, mapped) 2000 P1
2)
3)
4)
5)

i think that should cover most of it for starters.

regards

steve

DILBOB - as tony says the simtec is mafless and as far as i am awarea nd i am about 99% sure on this one that the AL + LC are a pair and come as a package. you have to activate them so you should be able to run one and not the other with the activation sequence.

TONY - i will email bob now to find out what sort of time scale we are looking at, bit i am sure he will work it around whatever suits us best.

STU - i same as above mate i will let you know as soon as he comes back to me.

although it may be an idea if ou guys can let me know when you are thinking of having it doen or being in the position to get it done, as i am sure we can sort something out, even if it is paid for then booked for a later date when you are in the position ot have it done

kind reagrds

Why quote +vat prices? surely no one is going to be claiming the vat back on these?

It was just hoe bob sent it through to me mate, so copied and pasted it onto the post. I think that there is a possibility to claim the vat back depending on what you do for work but don't quote me on that.

If you want a can change the prices to include the vat or you can just work it out for yourself

i will speak to him as soon as he is back which should be today or tomorrow and talk dates with him but will look to set it for the end of aucust early september if everyone is ok with that

Morning guys and girls.

right i have just had an email back form bob, and as it stands we wil run this group buy until the end of August (to be reviewd nearer the time, may extend if needed)

the dates we are looking at are :

Saturday 29th August and Saturday 5th September which will accommodate 6-8 cars at the outset will add more dates if there is enough interest and i am sure bob will be flexible if need be.

and lastly to make sure there are no time wasters saying yes then pulling out i was going to suggest a £100 deposit be paid (to bob, awaiting bank details) so people are commited to seing it through to the end, please no offense meant to any body.

so if any one who is interested, as now we have dates in mind (remember can be tweaked to suit personal needs) copy and paste your names in the list as in the first post

cheers

ok guys i have spoke with bob regarding payment and he is happy to use pay pal but
there are fees for PayPal payments, as you know which costs 4% so anyone making payment that way will be paying £104 to give bob £100,
Bob has kindly said that the Best thing is to pay him directly, He is happy to do plastic If they email me on rbr@brdevelopments.com with a contact number and he will phone you back to take the necessary or if someone wants to do a direct Internet account transfer then He will provide bank account details at that time.

So guys please start to drop bob an email with your deposit and when it's done can you please add your name to the list with paid or not

Cheers
