Ian

How much for the 6 pots, I know thet are not available as a discounted GB.

PM me if you wish, I was about to splash out on some k-sport 8 pots but would rather the AP 6 pots. I am going to buy some either way by Wednesday.

Our 335mm kit with AP 6 pots is also on offer at £1200.

The largest discs you can fit under 18's is 363mm with the AP 6 pots.

This 4 pot kit would give similar performance to the brembo's , if the brembo's had like for like , ie , performance pads and 2 piece discs , if you use standard discs and pads with the brembo's then this kit will be better.

If your fitting these to your 99 car , the brembo's would probably need spacers as the dont fit under most 17" wheels , my kit have more offset on the bells to push the discs in further , so give more room in the spokes

Hi
No the 4 pots would be too powerful for the rears , you need calipers with smaller pistons to keep the ballance front to rear correct , I can supply you a rear 4 pot kit using a 325mm 2 piece disc , AP 4 pots with the correct size pistons , Ferodo pads and brackets for £950

Cheers ian

I've just got hold of a 97 JDM STi and its only pushing out around 300bhp, but I do intend on going up to about 330bhp...

I'm after an AP brake upgrade and was wondering if the 6-pots would be an over kill?

Is the recommendation to go for the 4-pots in my case rather than the 6-pots?

(I also plan on putting 2-pots on the rear which I salvaged from my old 02 WRX... to balance out the braking)

altho for the sake of another £300, the 6-pots do look ever so sexy!

Just say I did go for the 6-pots, would the 2-pots on the rear be enuf to balance them out?

Hi Ian,

i know you know your stuff but i just want to double check. The purpose of these will be to compete in either TA or the LMA eurosaloons. I'm aiming to get the car running at 700bhp so are you sure this will be enough stopping power? I will also need some 6 pots for the front so can you PM me with a best possible price for the rears knowing that i'll be back in contact in about a month to get the fronts too. Any suggestions on braking set would also be appreciated if you think of anything.

Many thanks

Matt R

Ian, would the discs be your own brand or AP racing's ones?

I reckon they are AP calipers and Goodspeed discs?

Also is there an option for the AP calipers to be either the reds or blacks?
