how easy are these to fit on a classic uk steel bonnet
any drilling ???

Ditto,can we confirm these use the Original wing bolt holes etc or do new ones have to be drilled and tapped ?

I bought a set of these off ebay ages ago, paid about £25 from the states.
Bit of warning for you tho, make sure you test them first as when i fitted them they were so stiff that they nearly bent my bonnet!!
Just do a few quick presses so they go in and out smoothly.

No there is no drilling required with these they are a direct bolt on and come with instructions

yes these will be fine on the alloy bonnet but be careful as due to the bonnet being a lot lighter you may end up chinning your self

Not these specific items, but other very similar lifters tend to overpower the ali bonnet.
Single lifter seems to be able to cope.

We have fitted these with carbon bonnets before and they are fine but as you say 2 can be a bit over powering some times.

No they dont rust and sorry we dont have any pictures of them fitted to a subaru. Maybe some one who has bought a set on the group buy would put some pictures up

They are fine on the alley bonnet, i have the two fitted on mine and as Ed said you just have to open it gently. If anyone wants any pics i can post them here.
